When you’ve got fence posts to set or need clean holes for barn footings, you need an auger that digs clean and doesn’t leave you fighting the machine all day. This compact 12-inch auger is sized just right for those medium-duty jobs around the farm where you need a good solid hole without the bulk of a heavy-duty unit.
What You’re Getting
- 12-inch diameter cuts the perfect size hole for standard fence posts and medium structures
- 36-inch length digs deep enough for proper post setting without being unwieldy
- 2-inch round drive with standard hub fits most post hole diggers with 2-inch outputs
- 1/8-inch thick flighting designed for compact duty—strong enough for regular use without unnecessary weight
- Screw-on pilot tip bites into the ground and keeps the auger cutting straight
Built for Real Farm Work
This auger works great for setting fence posts around pastures, putting up gates, installing mailbox posts, or any job where you need clean 12-inch holes. It’ll work with most compact post hole diggers, including late model SpeeCo and Dirty Hand Tool units, making it a versatile choice for smaller tractors and utility equipment.
Made to Last
The compact duty rating means it’s built for regular farm use without the extra weight and cost of heavy-duty models. The 1/8-inch flighting is thick enough to handle normal soil conditions and won’t bend or crack under typical loads, while the standard hub design ensures a secure connection to your digger.
Good to Know
This is a direct replacement that’ll mount up just like your original auger. The screw-on pilot tip makes installation simple and gives you a sharp cutting edge that stays put. If you’re working in rocky ground regularly, you might want to consider upgrading to carbide cutting edges, but for most farm soil conditions, this auger will serve you well.
