When your tractor starts running rough, flooding out, or you notice gas dripping from the carburetor, chances are good your float needle valve has given up the ghost. This little assembly might seem insignificant, but it’s the gatekeeper that controls exactly how much fuel gets into your carburetor bowl – and when it fails, you’ll know it right away.
What You’re Getting
- Complete Viton needle, seat, and gasket assembly that seals tight and lasts longer than standard rubber parts
- Precision .093″ orifice that meters fuel flow exactly like the original equipment
- Quality TISCO construction that handles the temperature swings and fuel additives in today’s gas
- Direct drop-in replacement – no modifications or adjustments needed
Built for Real Farm Work
This assembly fits Ford tractors with 134 and 172 cubic inch gas engines from 1958 to 1964, including popular models like the 801, 901, and early 4000 series. These were the workhorses of their day, running everything from hay equipment to cultivators, and they’re still earning their keep on farms today. The Marvel Schebler carburetors on these tractors are reliable once properly maintained.
Made to Last
The Viton material in this assembly is a big upgrade over the original rubber components. It resists swelling from ethanol blends and doesn’t get gummy from sitting over winter like rubber parts can. The precision-machined seat ensures a proper seal that won’t leak or stick, keeping your fuel flow consistent whether you’re idling or under load.
Installation Notes
Remove the carburetor bowl and lift out the old float assembly to access the needle valve. The seat pulls straight out with needle nose pliers – just be careful not to damage the threads in the carburetor body. Clean everything thoroughly before installing the new assembly. A little carburetor cleaner on the threads helps everything go together smoothly.
